THE DAY OF THE LORD

The Day of the Lord is called Armageddon in the Book of Revelation. 

 

Armageddon is defined as a war between all the nations of the world and the nation of Israel.  The Valley of Megiddo, which is also called the Jezreel Valley, is in northern Israel where this battle will take place. 

 

If we do a little ‘newspaper exegesis (a.k.a. keeping watch as Christ commanded),’ we see that the nations of the world have already begun to align themselves against God and his Anointed One.  Israel is the most hated nation on the planet and there is no name that is more hated in this perverse generation than the name of Jesus.

 

Every Christian should recognize that the God haters of the world are gearing up for their battle against the Lord on the plains of Megiddo. 

 

These nations intend to destroy the nation of Israel in their satanic desire to lash out at God.  The Lord has declared that when Israel is in tribulation and all these things come upon them in the latter days (as written in the Book of Revelation), they will return to the Lord their God and obey his voice (Deuteronomy 4:30-31).

 

God has proclaimed that a remnant of the people of Israel will return to the Lord just prior to the Millennial reign of Christ.

 

In the meantime, the nation of Israel continues to fight a war of self-defense as it has done since 1948.  They will continue to fight, becoming more powerful in the process, until Armageddon because God is preparing to fulfill his promises to them.  The fact that the whole world desires the destruction of the nation of Israel should tell us all we need to know regarding who is behind this effort.

 

Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed and whoever curses Israel, and the Jews, is cursed by God (Genesis 12:3) (This promise includes Abraham’s descendants because theirs is the adoption as sons, the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.  Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Jesus Christ, who is God over all (Romans 9:4-5)).  God is not done with Israel so as to reject them completely (Leviticus 26:44-45; Jeremiah 31:36-37).

 

Those who think the Lord is done with the nation of Israel are in for a rude awakening.  Those who believe that the nation of Israel is the oppressor of the innocent ‘Palestinians,’ and now the Iranians, have achieved reprobate status.  They have abandoned the side of truth and righteousness.

 

Those who hate the Jews will come to the defense of the terrorist state of Iran before they defend God’s tiny nation.  They will lie incessantly about how Israel controls the U.S. government, and how they are the cause of war, even though every day they are simply fighting for survival. 

 

Be advised that, for those who fit into this category, God has likely abandoned you.  At best, you are under a curse.

 

Repent now.

 

In a single day, at the battle of Armageddon, the Lord descends from heaven to destroy the minions of the Antichrist and his followers.  The kingdom of Satan is overthrown, his religious and economic system are destroyed, and his Antichrist and his false prophet are thrown into the Lake of Fire. 

 

When the Bible speaks of the Day of the Lord, it is describing all the events from the rapture to the Day of Armageddon.  It is a time when God descends from his throne and passes judgment upon the mindless rebels who believe they can beat him in a fight.

 

After the rapture, the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached.  An angel proclaims this Gospel and cries out to the people to fear God and give him glory.  Those who obey God’s commandments, and have faith that Jesus will return to set up his Millennial Kingdom, are the elect if they stand firm until the end of the Tribulation. 

 

They can rest assured that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah will soon return and put an end to sin and rebellion and set up his Millennial Kingdom.

 

The following is merely a theoretical exercise that is designed to bring us closer to an understanding of how events will unfold leading up to the next dispensation.

 

The next dispensation, after the Tribulation, is the Millennial reign of Christ. 

 

The first dispensation, the law and the prophets, was proclaimed until the death of John the Baptist (Luke 16:16).  The second dispensation, the church age, was inaugurated fifty days after the resurrection of Christ.

 

After the church age, there are seven years of tribulation to fulfill the prophecy of Daniel regarding his people Israel and the holy city, Jerusalem (Daniel 9:24). 

 

33AD: The church age, which is the ministry of the Holy Spirit, begins at Pentecost

when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples. 

2030 AD: Mystery Babylon, which is the Roman Catholic Church (RCC), becomes     main religious institution of the West.  The Protestant churches are    characterized as Laodicean (bought off by the evil Globalists) or just        spiritually dead (Sardis-ian).  The true church of Christ, the church of          Philadelphia, is the only functioning church at this time but it has little    strength.

2030 AD: Religious deception shifts into high gear but is resisted by the one true     church, with decreasing success, over the next three years.

2030 AD: The great falling away from the faith of the Gentiles begins.  They will       not endure sound doctrine, will follow doctrines of demons, will scoff at    Christians, especially dispensationalists, and will be hedonistic.  The         hedonistic ‘Christians’ will have a form of godliness (pay lip service to a     ‘Jesus,’ but deny the power of God (his moral law)).

2030 AD: Israel’s rebuilding of its temple begins in conjunction with the great           falling away from the faith and the growth of antisemitism.

2030 AD: God takes the Israelites out of the nations where they have been

Scattered and returns them to Israel.  After repeatedly defeating the Muslim nations, who are backed by the evil Globalists, that seek their destruction, Israel grows in power.  They will be one nation and will be ruled by a king.  They will be hated by all nations because they have no place in the kingdom of Satan.

2032 AD: Ten kings announce their authority over the earth.  They take counsel       against the Lord and his Anointed to throw off God’s moral law and replace            it with their own ideology (Social Justice).  They align with the RCC.

2033 AD: The rapture of the church is likely at Pentecost while everything is going  on normally economically.  Socially, there is increasing violence and sexual          perversion

2033 AD: Bema Seat Judgment: The church receives its crown

2033 AD: Wedding Supper of the Lamb.  A Jewish wedding is followed by a   weeklong celebration.  The church celebrates for seven years in heaven.

2033 AD: False prophets and false ‘Christs’ arise to deceive with no restraint to

counteract the miraculous occurrence of the rapture.

2033 AD: Christ receives the scroll to open the seven seals of judgment upon the    earth and relieve Satan of his position.

2033 AD: The lawless one, the Antichrist, is revealed to the world

2033 AD: Birth pangs of war, famines and earthquakes begin

2033 AD: Christ opens the first seal and Antichrist is given crown and rides forth to             conquer.  Those who receive faith in Jesus are persecuted and put to death   by beheading over the next seven years.  Many turn away from the faith  and betray and hate each other.  The love of most grows cold.

2033 AD: Christ opens the second seal and its rider takes peace from the earth for             the next seven years.

2033 AD: Ezekiel’s prophesied invasion of Israel.  The nations that come against     Israel are destroyed by a great earthquake, rain, hailstones and burning    sulfur.  After the destruction of the invading armies, God begins the process        of cleansing his people. God no longer hides his face from his people Israel.   All Israelites are regathered in the land that God promised them.

2033 AD: Covenant with Death between Israel and the Antichrist

2033 AD: Christ opens the third seal unleashing economic hyperinflation for the      next seven years.

2033 AD: Economic Babylon, in Iraq, takes advantage of the financial turmoil and

begins locking the world into its Satanic system. 

2033 AD: Christ opens the fourth seal which allows the horseman to kill a fourth     of the earth with sword, famine and plague over the next seven years.

2033 AD: Christ opens the fifth seal to reveal the faithful martyrs who are killed by

Antichrist over the next seven years, calling out for judgment.

2033 AD: Christ opens the sixth seal to warn the world of what is coming at  Armageddon after he destroys the invaders prophesized by Ezekiel.  There is  a great earthquake and the sun turns black as sackcloth, the moon turns            blood red and the stars in the sky fall to earth.  Every mountain and Island        are removed from its place.

2033 AD: The kings of the earth and all people know that the wrath of God is           coming and search for the one who can stand against Him.

2033 AD: The RCC (Mystery Babylon) becomes the dominant religious institution

of the world.  This church rules from Rome for the next three-and one-half

years.  Islam is destroyed after the Ezekiel invasion.

2033 AD: God places his seal on the 144,000 Israelites who are tasked with   spreading the Gospel of Christ’s coming Millennial Kingdom.

2033 AD: the two witnesses (Enoch and Elijah) prophesy outside of the temple        (that is still under construction)          clothed in sackcloth and perform many          miracles.  Enoch prophesizes that the Lord will come with ten thousands of          his holy ones to pass judgment on the earth.  Elijah is prophesied to come         before the great and awesome Day of the Lord.  They prophesy for 1260               days.  They accuse Israel of being Sodom and Egypt due to their sexual  perversions, mysticism and alignment with Antichrist.

2037 AD: God opens the seventh seal and there is silence for half an hour as the     angels receive their trumpets.

2037 AD: Angels prepare to sound their trumpets.  An angel takes a censer filled     with fire from the altar and hurls it to the earth.  There are peals of thunder,     rumblings, flashes of lightening and an earthquake to warn the world of

pending judgment. 

2037 AD: Israel completes rebuilding its temple

2037 AD: War in heaven: Satan, the red dragon, who is the one who motivated        Herod to try to kill Jesus as a child, is thrown to the earth with one third of         the angels. He is no longer allowed before the throne of God to accuse the     Saints.

2037 AD: Antichrist receives a mortal wound but is possessed by Satan and his        wound is healed.  He blasphemes God and is given power to make war     against the tribulation saints and to overcome them.  They are not the      church because the gates of hell cannot prevail against those indwelt by the                   Holy Spirit.  All whose names have not been written in the lambs Book of  life will worship the beast as God.

2037 AD: the two witnesses (Enoch and Elijah) are killed by one of the beasts out   of the Abyss from where the locusts will emerge.  Their bodies lie in the         streets for three days as the heathen celebrate. 

2037 AD: God breathes life back into the two witnesses and takes them to heaven.            God sends a severe earthquake and a tenth of Jerusalem collapses killing    seven thousand. 

2037 AD: Religious Babylon (the RCC) in Rome destroyed by the Antichrist and his  ten kings and bring her to ruin.  They will eat her flesh and burn her with             fire.  The worship of the Antichrist will be the last of the false religions of

the earth.  The pope heralds the Antichrist as God on earth.

2037 AD: Antichrist enters Israel’s temple and proclaims himself God after the

destruction of Mystery Babylon in Rome.  The world finds its champion to

stand against the Lord and rally to him (Fallen (Mystery Babylon at middle of the Tribulation), Fallen (Economic Babylon at the end of the Tribulation) is Babylon the Great! (Revelation 18:2).  Antichrist, with his religious and economic system, then rules from Babylon.

2037 AD: Pope is indwelt by a demon from out of the earth.  He performs great

and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven.  He

orders the nation of Israel to set up an image of the Beast and place it in the Holy of Holies to be worshipped by the world.  He is given power to give breath to this image so it can speak.  All who refuse to worship the image are put to death. 

2037 AD: Pope forces all to receive the mark of the Beast on the right hand or

forehead.  No one can buy or sell without the mark.  It is the name of the

Beast or the number of his name.

2037 AD: Faithful Israelites (a remnant) heed Christ’s warning to flee to the

mountains when they see the ‘abomination of desolation’ standing in the

Holy place. 

2037 AD: First angel sounds his trumpet burning up a third of the earth

2037 AD: Second angel sounds his trumpet and (a meteorite) poisons a third of       the sea, destroying a third of the ships and a third of marine life.

2037 AD: Third angel sounds his trumpet and a meteorite poisons a third of the      fresh water (Wormwood).

2037 AD: Fourth angel sounds his trumpet and a third of the sun and stars is            struck and turned dark.  A third of the day and the night was without light.

2037 AD: An angel of the Lord warns the world to repent before the remaining        angels sound their trumpets.  The next three ‘woes’ will be the most    terrible yet.

2037 AD: Fifth angel sounds his trumpet and locusts emerge from the Abyss.  They            are given the power to torture those without the seal of God for five          months.  Men will seek death but they will be unable to die.

2037 AD: Sixth angel sounds his trumpet and four demons who were bound at the             great river Euphrates are released.  They command mounted troops of two   hundred million and they kill a third of mankind.

2037 AD: the rest of mankind not killed refuse to repent of the work of their            hands, they did not stop worshipping demons and idols, and they continued  in their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality and their thefts.                       Their faith in the Antichrist remains firm.

2037 AD: The Antichrist, indwelt by Satan, displays all kinds of counterfeit

miracles, signs and wonders to  deceive those who refuse to love the truth. 

2037 AD: God sends a Great Delusion upon the world so that all who delighted in             wickedness will be unable to repent and rendered beyond redemption.

2037 AD: seventh angel sounds his trumpet and the twenty-four elders worship      the Lord and prophesy about Christ’s Millennial kingdom.  God’s temple in         heaven is opened to reveal the ark of his covenant.  And there comes     lightening, rumblings, peals of thunder, and earthquake and a great        hailstorm. 

2037 AD: Satan moves to kill the remnant of Israelites but they flee to a place          prepared for them by God.  They are protected for three- and one-half

years.

2037 AD: the last of the 144,000 are martyred and are in heaven as they sing a        new song before the throne of God.  God then spreads the Gospel of the  Kingdom through his three angels.

2037 AD: First of three angels proclaims the eternal gospel which is “fear God and  give him glory…” 

2037 AD: Second angel prophesizes the fall of both religious and economic   Babylon.

2037 AD: A third angel issues the warning that those who take the mark of the        beast will be thrown into the Lake of Fire.

2039 AD: One of the four living creatures gives the seven angels seven golden

bowls filled with the wrath of God.

2039 AD: First angel pours bowl of God’s wrath and ugly, painful sores break out     on all who have the mark of the beast

2039 AD: Second angel pours bowl of God’s wrath and the sea turns to blood so     that everything within it dies

2039 AD: Third angel pours bowl of God’s wrath and the fresh water becomes         blood

2039 AD: The fourth angel pours bowl of God’s wrath and the sun scorches people             with fire, but they refuse to repent and curse the name of God.

2039 AD: The fifth angel pours bowl of God’s wrath and the Antichrists kingdom is  plunged into darkness.  The people continue to curse the God of Heaven            and stand behind their new god.

2039 AD: God annuls the covenant with death between Israel and the

Antichrist.

2040 AD: The sixth angel pours bowl of God’s wrath and the Euphrates is dried up  to allow the kings of the East to invade Israel.  Evil spirits gather the ten  kings to bring their armies against the nation of Israel.

2040 AD: The seventh angel pours bowl of God’s wrath completing God’s       judgment on the earth.  A tremendous earthquake like never has occurred            before splits Jerusalem into three parts.  The cities of the nations collapse.         Economic Babylon is destroyed.  Huge hailstones 100 pounds each fall on       the inhabitants of the earth and they curse God.

2040 AD: Economic Babylon in Iraq is destroyed.  God remembers Babylon the

Great and gives her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 

The kings of  the earth weep and mourn over her.  They stand far off,

terrified at her torment.

2040 AD: Angel emerges from the temple in heaven and harvests the righteous       from the earth.

2040 AD: Armageddon: The Day of the Lord in the Valley of Jehoshaphat.

2040 AD: Israel is overrun.  Jerusalem is captured, their houses are

ransacked and their women ravished.  Half the people will go into

exile but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. 

2040 AD: Satan then moves the kill the remnant of Jews who went into hiding at

Mid-Tribulation. 

2040 AD: Jesus returns with the armies of heaven and he strikes down the    nations, the birds descend to eat the flesh of the ten kings and their armies

2040 AD: Jesus appears to the remnant of Israel and they mourn for the one they

have pierced and weep bitterly over him.  God gives them a heart of flesh

and puts a new spirit within them and they are cleansed.  They will never again rebel against God’s law but will keep it zealously.

2040 AD: Angel emerges from the temple and harvests the wicked.  He swings his  sickle because the harvest is ripe.  The ‘grapes’ are trampled and the  winepress is full.  The blood flows out of the press, rising as high as the    horses bridles for a distance of 1600 stadia. 

2040 AD: The saints cry Hallelujah!  God has condemned the great prostitute and   avenged the blood of his saints.

2040 AD: The antichrist and the false prophet are seized and thrown into the Lake  of Fire.  The worlds champion is disposed of.

2040 AD: Satan is bound for a thousand years.  He is thrown into the Abyss so he    can no longer deceive the nations. 

2040 AD: Sheep and goats judgment.  All nations of those remaining after the         Great Tribulation will stand before Christ’s heavenly throne.  Those on his      right will go into his Millennial kingdom.  Those on his left will be thrown         into Hell to await the Lake of Fire.   

2040 AD: The great multitude in white robes who came out of the tribulation will   serve him day and night in the temple.

2040 AD: The Millennial kingdom begins

2040 AD: Israel becomes a shining city on the hill to the nations for one thousand   years.

2040 AD: Israel refurbishes its temple to be in conformity with the temple     prophesied in Ezekiel 40-48.  The Mosaic Law will return to Israel and they       will follow it zealously for one thousand years.  God informed Ezekiel that   this temple would be his home until the end of the age.   

2040 AD: Christ’s Millennial Reign: Christ rules with a rod of iron.  He will judge       between nations and settle disputes with many people.  Christians rule with       Christ.  The wolf shall lie down with the lamb and the lion will eat straw like       the ox.  Anyone who dies at 100 will be considered a child.  Houses will be  built and children will be reared.  The nations will stream to Jerusalem to     seek Christ’s counsel.   

3040 AD: Satan released to deceive the nations and his followers surround    Jerusalem to destroy it.  Fire comes down from heaven and destroys Satan     and his armies and Satan is thrown into the Lake of Fire where he is         tormented for eternity.

3040 AD: Great White Throne Judgment: Christ opens the Book of Life and the       dead are judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.       Death and Hades are then thrown into the Lake of Fire.  Those thrown into        the Lake of Fire experience the second death.  The second death is reserved            for the cowardly, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, for        idolators and liars.

3040 AD: the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be    burned up and dissolved.  A new heaven and new earth appear.  There is no          longer any sea. 

3040 AD: The New Jerusalem descends out of heaven prepared as a bride     beautifully dressed for her husband.   It is the bride of Christ, the wife of the          Lamb.  God will wipe away every tear and there will be no more death or           mourning or pain.  There was no temple because God and Jesus are its  temple.  There is no sun or moon because God and Jesus are its light and        lamp.  The Holy Spirit indwells his church.

3040 AD: The River of Life flows from the throne of God down the middle of the     street of Jerusalem.  On each side of the river stands the tree of life bearing       twelve crops of fruit.  It yields fruit every month.  The throne of the Lamb   is in Jerusalem.  We will see his face and his name will be on our foreheads. 

3040 AD: Eternity, the final dispensation, begins: What no eye has seen, nor ear

heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him (II Corinthians 2:9).

 

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.  For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal (II Corinthians 4:16-18).

 

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him (Romans 8:17; James 2:5).

 

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself (Philippians 3:21).

 

Amen.  Come Lord Jesus.
